The Verizon Foundation recently presented a $20,000 Verizon Foundation grant to Safe Homes of Orange County NY to help fund the organization’s domestic violence education and prevention programs in the local communities. The presentation took place at the Verizon Wireless store in Newburgh NY.

Safe Homes of Orange County provides emergency and non-emergency services for individuals and families affected by domestic violence. Those services include a 24-hour hotline, shelter, legal assistance, court advocacy, bilingual support groups, and education programs.

The grant is part of Verizon’s ongoing efforts to support the victims and families of domestic violence in our communities and the organizations that serve them.
