Update – March 2, 2015: Starting today, two new prepaid options are now available to Verizon Wireless customers. More flexibility and more choices for prepaid customers to choose from.

The $35 basic phone prepaid plan now includes Unlimited Talk & Talk with 500MB of data. And for smartphone customers, a new $60 prepaid plan has been added that includes Unlimited Talk & Text and 2.5GB of data. Similar to other prepaid options currently available, customers who enroll in Auto Pay can receive an additional 500MB of data every month.

Additionally, customers can look forward to a new smartphone that will soon be added to the prepaid line-up, the Moto E. The 4G LTE smartphone has a 4.5-inch qHD display, long lasting 2390mAh battery and runs the latest version of Android, Lollipop. And just like all other 4G LTE prepaid phones on Verizon, you can expect an XLTE experience with the benefits of faster peak speeds and greater network capacity than before in cities coast to coast. XLTE is available in over 400 markets. The Moto E will be available in the coming weeks.

Prepaid plans have always been about being flexible, valuable, and customizable. Picking the right plan, right device, and the most reliable network make Verizon the right choice for prepaid customers.

Starting today, Verizon Wireless doubled the data on the $45 prepaid monthly smartphone plans to include 1 GB of data. As a bonus, customers who enroll in Auto Pay can receive an additional 500MB of data every month.

Why plan out your data needs a month in advance? Users can customize their prepay plan with data add-ons to create the plan that suits their needs best. If you didn’t use all the data, no need to worry – the $10 and $20 data options allow you to carry  it over for up to 90 days.

Data Options

  • 500MB for $5 – 30 day expiration
  • 1GB for $10 – 90 day expiration
  • 3GB for $20 – 90 day expiration

The $45 prepaid smartphone plan includes Unlimited Talk and Text. Unlimited texting to Mexico and Canada is also included at no additional cost. And for those looking to call friends and family in Mexico and Canada can do so by adding the International Long Distance feature and get 1000 minutes for $10 a month.

Customization also extends to device selection. You have the option to pick a device from the prepaid lineup like the HTC Desire 612 and the LG Transpyre or you can bring your own device if you already own a Verizon Wireless 4G LTE smartphone. And those with XLTE Ready devices will be able to get faster peak speeds and greater network capacity in cities coast to coast. Smartphone users also have access to the mobile hotspot feature on their device to connect their Wi-Fi devices when they want.
