Mother’s Day should be a happy day, but for mothers who are among the one in four women who are victims of dating or domestic violence, it isn’t.
In its continuing support of domestic violence prevention, awareness and victim recovery, Verizon has launched #ShareTheHope, a social campaign to help victims of domestic violence get the strength and resources they need. With every like, share, repin or retweet made through May 10, Verizon will donate $1, up to $50,000, to Safe Horizon, the largest victims’ services agency in the U.S.
Since 2001, HopeLine® from Verizon has connected survivors of domestic violence to vital resources, funded organizations nationwide and recycled phones to help protect the environment. To date, HopeLine has collected more than 11.4 million phones, donated more than $29 million in cash grants and provided more than 190,000 phones with wireless service to domestic violence organizations nationwide.
