Four inspiring startups and winners of Verizon’s 2014 Powerful Answers Award have become partners of the Verizon Innovation Program, a program designed to help innovators leverage platform technology, state of the art labs and expert know-how to bring ideas to life. Their partnership with the Innovation Program is in addition to winning close to $2 million in cash and the opportunity to be part of an accelerator program.

The startups, Sesame Enable (touch-free smartphone technology for the disabled), Voiceitt (voice-to-voice app that translates distorted pronunciation to understandable speech), HopOn (mobile payment system for public transport) and Radiator Labs (radiator cover that helps save costs and reduce energy use) have all joined forces with Verizon’s Innovation Program and will work with Verizon to develop their ideas, create business cases, and test and certify their technology in Verizon’s labs.

These recent winners join select 2013 Powerful Answers Award winners who also became Verizon Innovation Program partners: Big Belly Solar (“smart” garbage cans) and Smart Vision Labs (smartphone-based portable eye exam). They’ve each made significant progress in the market since coming on board and both are showcased at the Verizon Innovation Centers located in Waltham, Mass. and San Francisco.

The Verizon Innovation Program boasts more than 400 partners and offers individuals and organizations a way to accelerate the development of machine-to-machine and wireless technology innovations, ensuring we use our knowledge, expertise and connections to continue to lead the way around the Internet of Things.

The 2015 Powerful Answers Award Program is open for submissions through June 18, 2015. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to win up to $1 million in cash prizes and work with Verizon to bring good ideas to market - just ask these past winners how valuable entering (and winning) has been for them. Ideas can be entered here
