  1. What's the annual upgrade program for iPhone?

    The annual upgrade program allows customers purchasing eligible iPhones to turn in that device after 30 days and payment of at least 50% to upgrade to a new eligible smartphone on a device payment agreement.

  2. How can I participate in the annual upgrade program for iPhone?

    To participate, you need to:

    • Purchase and activate an eligible iPhone on a Verizon Wireless device payment agreement.
      • iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max
      • iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, or iPhone XR if purchased before 9/12/19
      • iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus (including (PRODUCT)REDâ„¢) and iPhone X purchased on a device payment agreement on or before 9/13/18
    • Use the eligible iPhone with Verizon Wireless service for at least 30 days
    • Pay at least 50% of the device's retail price
    • Return the eligible iPhone in good working condition with no significant damage, as determined by Verizon Wireless, within 14 days after you upgrade
    • Satisfy the annual upgrade program terms and conditions

  3. If I pre-ordered iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 do I still qualify for the annual upgrade program for iPhone?

    Yes. If you pre-order iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 on a Verizon Wireless device payment agreement, and activate it, you're eligible for the annual upgrade program.

  4. If the annual upgrade program for iPhone requirements are satisfied, do I need to make the remaining payments for the eligible iPhone under my original device payment agreement?

    No, you don't need to make the remaining payments.

  5. I have other iPhones on device payment agreements. Are they eligible for early upgrades too?

    It depends on the device and when you purchased it. The following devices purchased on a device payment agreement are eligible:

    • iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X purchased on or before 9/13/2018

    All other iPhones on active device payment agreements entered into before 5/31/2015 can upgrade to a new device on a device payment agreement as long as you meet the upgrade eligibility requirements in your pre-5/31/2015 device payment agreement.

  6. What happens if I don't return my iPhone after upgrading?

    If you don't return the required iPhone after you upgrade, the remaining balance of your original device payment agreement will be due on your next bill. Here's how to return your device.
