This page explains Apple Music's inclusion with select Verizon Unlimited plans, who's eligible for it, how to sign up and how to use the Apple Music app.

General Apple Music information

  1. What is Apple Music?

    Apple Music is a streaming music service that lets you listen to a catalog of 50 million songs, ad-free. You can also download music to listen to offline, watch music videos and create playlists of your favorite songs.

  2. Is Apple Music included with my plan?

    Apple Music is included on smartphone lines with Play More Unlimited, Get More Unlimited, Beyond Unlimited* and Above Unlimited* plans. Taxes apply.

    If you have smartphone lines on Start Unlimited, Do More Unlimited, Go Unlimited* or The Verizon Plan Unlimited*, you can get Apple Music free for 6 months, then it's $9.99/line per month until you cancel (you can cancel anytime). Taxes apply.

  3. Who is eligible for the Apple Music promotion?

    To receive Apple Music, you must:

    • Be up-to-date on your bill payments
    • Have an iPhone® or an Android™ smartphone
    • Be on an eligible unlimited plan:
      • Play More Unlimited, Get More Unlimited, Beyond Unlimited* or Above Unlimited* receive Apple Music included for as long as you have your plan. Taxes apply.
      • Start Unlimited, Do More Unlimited, Go Unlimited* or the Verizon Plan Unlimited* receive Apple Music free for 6 months, then $9.99/line per month if you do not cancel. Taxes apply.

    Note: If you're new to Verizon, you'll need to sign up for an Unlimited plan, activate your phone and register for My Verizon before you can sign up for the Apple Music promo.

  4. Can I get Apple Music in New Mexico?

    Yes. New Mexico residents are not eligible to bill third-party charges to their account, but can get Apple Music included with these plans: Play More Unlimited, Get More Unlimited, Beyond Unlimited* or Above Unlimited* plans, or visit applemusic.com to subscribe there.

    For those on the 6 month promo, Apple Music ends automatically after 6 months. At end of promo, you can continue to enjoy Apple Music when you upgrade to 1 of the plans listed above, or visit applemusic.com to subscribe there for Apple Music.

  5. How do I cancel my Apple Music subscription?

    Visit our Apple Music page on your computer or smartphone's browser to cancel your subscription.

    You can also cancel from the My Verizon app.

    1. Tap the Menu icon at the top left of the screen.
    2. Tap Account and Add-Ons.
    3. Tap Manage to see your Apple Music subscription info.
    4. Tap Opt out.
    5. You'll see a confirmation that you've successfully opted out of your Apple Music subscription.
  6. How do I sign up for Apple Music?

    If you meet the eligibility requirements, the Account Owner or Account Manager can follow these steps to sign your line up for Apple Music:

    • Visit Verizon's webpage on Apple Music on your computer or smartphone's browser.
    • You can also enroll from the My Verizon app:
      1. Tap Menu. Then tap Account and Add-Ons.
      2. Select the line you want to enroll in the Apple Music promotion, tap the Entertainment tab and then tap View for offer details.
      3. To continue, accept the Terms and Conditions by selecting the check box, then tap Get Apple Music.
      4. To finalize your enrollment in the trial, tap Confirm and then Got it.
      5. Each line will get a free text message within 24 hours. Tap the link in the text to either download Apple Music on Android or to open Apple Music on iPhone.
  7. Can I get Apple Music with my plan if I already have an Apple Music subscription?

    You're still eligible to receive Apple Music with your plan even if you’re already a subscriber. Once you redeem the subscription and link your Apple ID, you'll be prompted within the Apple Music app to cancel one of your subscriptions. Cancelling with Apple will continue your Apple Music subscription on us.

  8. If I cancel my existing Apple Music subscription to enroll in this promotion with Verizon's offers, will I lose my saved music and playlists?

    No, when you cancel your existing subscription your music and playlists will carry over automatically as long as you sign-in with the same Apple ID

  9. Can I use the Apple Music 6-month trial more than once?

    No, this free trial can only be used 1 time per phone line. That's true even if you change that line's plan to a different plan that offers the free trial.

    If you finished the trial and want to keep Apple Music, you can either:

    • Change the line to a plan that includes Apple Music for free (i.e., Play More Unlimited, Get More Unlimited).
    • Keep the plan you have on that line. When the trial ends you're charged $9.99/line monthly for Apple Music unless you cancel.
  10. Can I use my Apple Music subscription from Verizon on other devices besides my smartphone?

    Yes, if you log in to iTunes or the Music app with the Apple ID that is receiving Apple Music from Verizon, you'll be able to access your saved music and playlists.

  11. Can I get Apple Music if I have an Android smartphone?

    Yes, Android smartphones are eligible for Apple Music. You'll just need to download the Apple Music app onto your smartphone if you don't have it already.

  12. Can I sign up for Apple Music with my smartwatch's NumberShare line?

    No, a NumberShare line is not eligible for Apple Music from Verizon. Sign up for Apple Music using your smartphone line, then access Apple Music on your smartwatch.

  13. Can I listen to Apple Music on my smartwatch?

    Yes, you can enjoy Apple Music on your smartwatch when it's connected through WiFi, or when using cellular service with NumberShare.

  14. Where do I go to learn more about Apple Music?

Apple Music included with Play More Unlimited, Get More Unlimited, Beyond Unlimited and Above Unlimited

  1. What happens to my Apple Music subscription if I switch my calling plan off of a Play More Unlimited, Get More Unlimited, Beyond Unlimited or Above Unlimited plan?

    Your Apple Music subscription is included for as long as your line is on the Play More Unlimited, Get More Unlimited, Beyond Unlimited or Above Unlimited plan. If you switch to a different plan, you will be charged $9.99/line per month for your Apple Music subscription on your Verizon bill unless you cancel before changing your plan. If you decide to keep your Apple Music subscription after changing plans, you can cancel at any time.

  2. What happens to the Apple Music subscription included with my plan if I cancel my Verizon service?

    If you cancel your Verizon service, you'll lose the Apple Music subscription that was included with your calling plan.

  3. I'm currently receiving the 6-month Apple Music promotion, and I'm on the Beyond Unlimited or Above Unlimited plan. What happens when my promotion ends?

    You will automatically move to a full subscription, which will last for as long you remain on either the Beyond Unlimited or Above Unlimited plan.

  4. Where will the Apple Music subscription that's included with my plan appear on my bill?

    You'll see Apple Music on your Verizon bill under Verizon media and apps, with no charge.

Apple Music 6-month promotion for Go Unlimited and the Verizon Plan Unlimited

  1. How can I check when my Apple Music 6-month promotion ends?

    You can find your subscription status by:

    • Checking your Verizon Wireless bill
    • Visiting our Apple Music page on your desktop computer or smartphone's browser
    • Opening the My Verizon app on your phone by tapping the Menu icon, then tapping Account and Add-Ons

    You'll also get an email and text from us 15 days prior to converting to a paid subscription.

  2. What will happen after my Apple Music 6-month promotion ends?

    Your promotion will automatically convert to a paid subscription if you don't cancel. You'll be charged $9.99/line per month on your Verizon Wireless bill.

  3. Where will I see the Apple Music charge on my Verizon bill?

    You'll see Apple Music on your Verizon bill under Verizon media and apps.

    During your promotional period, you'll see your subscription start and end date, without a charge:

    When your promotion ends, you'll see a $9.99 charge for each line that keeps an Apple Music subscription:

  4. What will happen to my Apple Music promotion if I suspend my smartphone line?

    Your Apple Music promo will continue, unless you have suspended your line because you are a member of the military who has been deployed.

    For Military personnel, if you suspend your line, we will cancel your subscription on month 7 to ensure you are not charged $9.99/line per month when the promo ends. Military personnel will then need to opt-in again upon re-activation of line to restart Apple Music.

  5. What will happen to my Apple Music promotion if I cancel my line of service?

    If you cancel your Verizon Wireless service, your Apple Music promo will be canceled.
