Buy an Apple Watch Series 3 or Series 4 with no line access fee for the first month. Also, get an additional $100 off when purchasing an iPhone® on a device payment.

General Information

  1. What is the Apple Watch Series 3 and Series 4 offer?

Eligible customers who buy an Apple Watch Series 3 or Apple Watch Series 4 from Verizon get no line access charge for the first month.

This means for the first month after activation:

    • If you have a single device and a shared data plan, the $40 monthly line access fee is waived.
    • If you have an unlimited plan, a $10 discount is applied to your account.

You can also get an additional $100 off when you purchase an iPhone with a 24-month device payment agreement. The $100 credit is applied to your account over 24 months.

Learn more about getting your new iPhone with device payments at our Device Payment FAQs.

To be eligible you must have:

    1. Purchased a new Apple Watch Series 3 or Series 4 from Verizon Wireless.
    2. Activated the new Apple Watch Series 3 or Series 4 on a new line of service.
    3. Purchased an iPhone on monthly device payments to get an additional $100 off.
  2. What if I already have a 6-month payment plan for a smartwatch and want to change to a 24-month plan?

If you're currently on a 6-month device payment plan, your term remains with that agreement. However, if you bought a smartwatch before 10/26/18 and you exchange* the watch on or after 10/26/18, your new device payment plan agreement will have the 24-month term.

*You may return or exchange wireless devices and accessories within 14 days of purchase. A restocking fee of $50 applies to any return or exchange of a wireless device (excluding Hawaii). Learn more on our Return Policy page.

  3. Is my phone compatible with the Apple Watch Series 3 or Series 4?

The Apple Watch Series 3 requires an iPhone® 6 or newer with iOS 11. Apple Watch Series 4 (GPS + Cellular) requires an iPhone 6 or later, with iOS 12 or later. Both the watch and the phone must be on the same Verizon Wireless account. The watch will share a number with your eligible iPhone, letting you leave your phone behind and stay connected on America's most reliable 4G LTE network.

Apple Watch Series 3 and Series 4 isn't eligible for its own mobile number. It must remain as an "extension device" that's paired with a compatible iPhone as the "host device" using NumberShare. To learn more about using NumberShare with your Apple Watch Series 3 or Series 4, visit the NumberShare FAQs.

  4. How do I activate my Apple Watch Series 3 or Series 4?

To activate your Apple Watch Series 3 or Series 4:

    1. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
    2. Follow the onscreen instructions using the Apple Watch app on iPhone to pair your devices.
    3. Tap Set Up Cellular from "My Watch" in the Apple Watch app on iPhone.
    4. Follow the onscreen instructions to set up your 911 address and activate your Apple watch.

You've successfully activated your Apple Watch.

  5. What happens if I suspend my service without billing or deactivate my Apple Watch Series 3 or Series 4 before I pay off the device?

If you take advantage of this offer but suspend service without billing or deactivate your device, you'll still be responsible for any remaining balance on your device.

  6. Why does my Apple watch have its own number on my bill?

Your Apple watch shares the phone number of the iPhone it's connected to. But for calls and text messages, the watch will appear on your bill with a different unique phone number.

This is because the data you use on your Apple Watch Series 3 or Series 4 is billed separately than your main phone line. The separate phone number is strictly for billing purposes; the number can't be used to call or send messages to your Apple watch.
