    Connected Car Wi-Fi by Verizon provides fast, secure in-vehicle internet access, powered by America's best network.

    Connect up to 5 internet devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops and gaming devices to Wi-Fi in your vehicle. Browse the internet, stream videos and music, play games, keep the kids quiet - just like at home.

  2. Which vehicles can use Connected Car Wi-Fi?

    • Ford: Most* Ford vehicles manufactured between 2010-2018 using Fordpass Smartlink™
    • Lexus: Lexus vehicles with Enform 2.0 are currently eligible to get Connected Car Wi-Fi service
    • Lincoln: Most* Lincoln vehicles manufactured between 2010-2018 using Fordpass Smartlink
    • Mercury: Mercury vehicles manufactured between 2010-2011 using Lincoln Smartlink
    • Toyota: Toyota vehicles with Entune 3.0 are currently eligible to get Connected Car Wi-Fi service

  3. Which plans are eligible for Connected Car Wi-Fi and how much does it cost?

    Connected Car Wi-Fi service is a line on your existing Verizon account. It'll be on your monthly bill and in My Verizon under My Devices.

    Not with Verizon yet? You can still sign up for Connected Car Wi-Fi service.

    *Not eligible on Above Unlimited, Beyond Unlimited, Go Unlimited, or the new Verizon Plan Unlimited. If you get an unlimited plan for your phone after 6/18/18, or mix and match unlimited plans on your account, you can add Connected Car Wi-Fi to your account with a compatible data-only plan.

  4. How do I get Connected Car Wi-Fi?

    Lexus and Toyota

    For eligible Lexus and Toyota vehicles with embedded Connected Car Wi-Fi, simply connect to the Wi-Fi in your vehicle. The first time you connect you'll be given the option to sign up for the free trial. Refer to the Lexus and Toyota section of the FAQs for more details about the free trial.

    Once your free Connected Car Wi-Fi trial has expired you'll be redirected to a sign up page where you can sign up for Connected Car Wi-Fi. You can also add Connected Car Wi-Fi to your account in My Verizon once the free trial has ended.

    Fordpass

    The Fordpass device and Smartlink subscription for eligible vehicles is available from the auto dealership. Your free trial will automatically begin at the time of purchase. Refer to the Fordpass section of the FAQs for more details about the free trial. Once your free trial has expired, you can add your Fordpass Smartlink device to your account in My Verizon.

  5. I'm already with Verizon, how can I get Connected Car Wi-Fi?

    Once you've completed the free trial, you can add your Connected Car Wi-Fi hotspot to your account in My Verizon.

    To add a Connected Car hotspot to your account:

    1. Go to our Bring Your Own Device page (BYOD).
    2. Click or tap I have Verizon
    3. Sign in to My Verizon, if prompted, and enter your device's IMEI in the device ID field. Not sure how to find your IMEI? Refer to these instructions on how to find the IMEI for:
    4. Follow the prompts to add Connected Car Wi-Fi as a line on your account.
  6. I'm not with Verizon Wireless yet. Can I still get Connected Car Wi-Fi?

    If your vehicle supports Connected Car Wi-Fi, you can create a new Verizon account after completing your in-vehicle Wi-Fi trial.

    To add a Connected Car hotspot to your account:

    1. Go to our Bring Your Own Device page (BYOD).
    2. Click or tap I am not with Verizon
    3. Enter your device’s IMEI in the device ID field. Not sure how to find your IMEI? Refer to these instructions on how to find the IMEI for:

  7. Can I transfer my Connected Car Wi-Fi line to another eligible vehicle?

    No. You can't transfer a Connected Car Wi-Fi line to another vehicle.

    You have to cancel your existing Connected Car Wi-Fi line of service and create a new one. To complete this process, click the Chat with us button at the bottom right corner of this page to contact one of our representatives.

  8. How do I know my Connected Car Wi-Fi service is active?

    Once you've added Connected Car Wi-Fi to your Verizon account, or created a new Verizon account with Connected Car Wi-Fi, connect a device to the Wi-Fi hotspot in your vehicle and check your internet connection.

    Always pay close attention to the road, don't use your device while driving, and don't drive when distracted.

  9. How can I monitor data usage for Connected Car Wi-Fi?

    You can monitor your data usage in the My Verizon app Data Hub and in My Verizon.

  10. I need to suspend my Connected Car Wi-Fi line for a while. How do I do that?

Fordpass

  1. What is the free trial for Fordpass Smartlink?

    When you purchase a Fordpass device you get a free trial of 1 GB data usage or 30-days (whichever comes first).

  2. How does the Fordpass Smartlink free trial work?

    The free trial automatically begins when you purchase the Fordpass device. The trial will end either after you've used the 1 GB of trial data or after 30 days (whichever comes first).

  3. How do I subscribe to Fordpass Smartlink after the free trial?

    When you connect to your Fordpass Wi-Fi with a smartphone once your free trial has expired, you'll receive a notification with a link to add the Fordpass Wi-Fi hotspot to your Verizon account.

  4. How do I find the IMEI (device ID) of my Fordpass Smartlink device?

    You can use the Fordpass or Lincoln Way app on your smartphone to find your device IMEI.

    To find your Fordpass Smartlink IMEI:

    1. Open the Fordpass or Lincoln Way app on your smartphone.
    2. Tap the tile named Smartlink.
    3. Under Settings tap Account Settings. The IMEI for your Fordpass Smartlink device will display.

    If you're unable to use the Fordpass or Lincoln Way app to find your IMEI you can find the IMEI number under your steering wheel on the sticker attached to the OBD-II port.

  5. How do I connect to my Fordpass Wi-Fi network?

    1. Open your smartphone Wi-Fi settings and select the Wi-Fi network name for your Fordpass device. Learn how to find your Fordpass Wi-Fi network name.
    2. Enter the password for your Fordpass Wi-Fi network. Learn how to view and change your network name.

Lexus and Toyota

  1. What is the free trial for Connected Car Wi-Fi on Lexus and Toyota vehicles?

    The connected car free trail is available for eligible vehicles and lasts until you use up your free data or exceed the specified time frame, whichever comes first.

    • Lexus: 4GB of data or 12 months
    • Toyota: 2 GB of data or 6 months
  2. How does the connected car Wi-Fi free trial work for Toyota and Lexus vehicles?

    For Lexus and Toyota vehicles with embedded Connected Car Wi-Fi, the trial begins the first time you connect to the Connected Car Wi-Fi in your vehicle. When you connect for the first time you’ll be given the change to opt in to the free trial. During the trial you'll receive alerts when you have 50%, 25%, 10% and 0% of your trial data remaining. Once you have 0% of your data remaining, you'll receive an email stating that the trial has expired and asking you to subscribe for continued service.

  3. How do I subscribe to Connected Car Wi-Fi in a Lexus or Toyota after the free trial?

    Once you've used up your free trial data or reached the trial month limit you'll receive a trial expiration email with the chance to subscribe to continue Connected Car Wi-Fi service.

  4. How do I find the IMEI (device ID) of my Connected Car Wi-Fi hotspot embedded in a Lexus or Toyota?

    You can find the IMEI for Connected Car Wi-Fi in Lexus and Toyota vehicles on the screen of your vehicle's audio player.

    To find your Connected Car Wi-fi IMEI:

    1. On your vehicle's audio unit screen select Menu.
    2. Tap Apps.
    3. Tap Wi-Fi Signup.
    4. The IMEI is listed on the lower left of the Wi-Fi signup screen.
