  1. What is Delphi Connect?

    Delphi Connect is a device that lets you monitor and locate your car, as well as troubleshoot its problems. The Delphi Connect with 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot also provides in-vehicle Wi-Fi connectivity for up to 5 devices.

    With a Delphi Connect, you can:

    • Locate and track the vehicle without interrupting the driver
    • Set and receive alerts for specific driving behaviors (e.g., high speed or RPM) and vehicle performance issues
    • Set up geo-fences (i.e., driving boundaries) and receive alerts when the vehicle enters and exits these locations
    • View trip logs
    • Diagnose the vehicle's engine health

  2. Does Delphi Connect work like a phone?

    Although the Delphi Connect is assigned a phone number, it doesn't work like a phone or allow you to make or receive calls. However, it does allow you to monitor and locate your car, as well as troubleshoot its problems. Also, the Delphi Connect with 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot will provide you with in-vehicle Wi-Fi connectivity for up to 5 devices.

  3. How much does Delphi Connect cost?

    Delphi Connect costs $99.99 and Delphi Connect with 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot costs $199.99. Use of Delphi Connect requires activation on the new Verizon Plan, The Verizon Plan or The More Everything® Plan and a separate $5 monthly Delphi Connect subscription charge.

  4. Does Delphi Connect require a certain Verizon Wireless data plan?

    Yes. Delphi Connect can only be added to the new Verizon Plan, The Verizon Plan or The MORE Everything Plan. If you don't have one of these plans, you'll either need to change to the new Verizon Plan or open an account with the new Verizon Plan.

  5. Can I activate Delphi Connect on an existing mobile number?

    Yes, you can activate Delphi Connect on an existing mobile number by switching out the device currently associated with that mobile number. Go to the Activate or Switch Device page in My Verizon.

  6. If I'm an existing Verizon Wireless customer and not currently eligible for an upgrade, will Verizon Wireless give any special offers to allow upgrades to the Delphi Connect at a reduced price?

    Delphi Connect doesn't require a 2-year wireless service contract, so it's not discounted based on a contract term and you don't need to use your upgrade eligibility to purchase it.

  7. Does Delphi Connect have GPS functionality?

    Yes, Delphi Connect has GPS functionality. Location tracking with Delphi Connect is subject to GPS accuracy.

  8. Do I need a smartphone to use Delphi Connect?

    No. In addition to the smartphone app, you can sign in to Delphi Connect by visiting the Delphi Connected Car home page.

  9. Where can I purchase Delphi Connect with 4G LTE?

  10. Do I need to sign up for a 2-year Verizon Wireless service agreement when I purchase Delphi Connect or Delphi Connect 4G LTE with Mobile Hotspot?

    No, Delphi Connect and Delphi Connect 4G LTE with Mobile Hotspot don't require a 2-year Verizon Wireless contract.

    To use the device, activation on the new Verizon Plan, The Verizon Plan or The MORE Everything Plan and a separate $5 monthly Delphi Connect subscription charge are required.

  11. Can I create customized alerts for Delphi Connect?

    Yes, you can customize the following alerts for Delphi Connect:

    • Speed alert threshold
    • RPM threshold value and minimum time required to set a high RPM alert
    • Individually enable or disable the entry and exit alerts for each geo-fence
    • Amount of g-force required to trigger a motion alert

Connecting to Your Delphi Connect

  1. Why do I need a Delphi Connect account?

    To get information about your car and manage it, you'll need to set up a Delphi Connect account through the Delphi smartphone app or the Delphi Connect home page.

  2. Where can I get the Delphi Connect app?

    You can get the app by searching for Delphi in the app store on your mobile device:

    • To find the Delphi app on Apple® devices, use the Apple App StoreSM.
    • To find the Delphi app on Android™ devices, use the Google Play™ Store.

    Although the app is free, data charges may apply when downloading it. Once downloaded, you'll need to sign in to your Delphi account using the app.

  3. What operating system (OS) do I need to use the Delphi Connect smartphone app?

    The Delphi Connect app is available for Android 2.2 and later and for iPhone® running iOS 5.0 and later.

  4. What is the address of the Delphi Connect website?

    The Delphi Connect website can be found at mycar.delphi.com, and can be used to log in to your Delphi Connect account as an alternative to the smartphone app.

  5. Which browsers are compatible with the Delphi Connect website?

  2. How do I set up and install Delphi Connect?

  4. Why do I need to know the mobile number for my Delphi Connect?

    Your Delphi Connect is assigned with a mobile number, which we'll use to identify your account if you ever need to contact Customer Service.

    You can find your Delphi Connect mobile number in the My Devices section of the My Verizon Home page. The mobile number is displayed under the Delphi Connect image.

  5. What if I forget my Delphi Connect Account username or password?

    To retrieve your username or reset your password:

    1. Visit the Delphi Connect website or open your Delphi Connect app.
    2. Click Forgot your username? or Forgot your password?
    3. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the process.
  6. Where can I get customer support about Delphi Connect?

  7. I drove over the programmed speed threshold for my Delphi Connect, why didn’t I receive a speed alert?

    The speed alert is only set once the vehicle goes over the threshold for at least 5 seconds. Some vehicles have speedometers that are calibrated slightly high, so the vehicle may actually be going just under the speed the speedometer indicates. To receive a notification via email, ensure your email address is entered correctly in the settings area for notifications. On the smartphone app, from the Settings menu tap Vehicle Settings, then tap the vehicle you want to configure, then tap Alerts & Notifications. On the website, on the Settings menu click Manage Alerts.

  8. How can I see all my vehicles at the same time on one map with Delphi Connect?

    On the menu within the Location screen, use the Hide/Show Vehicles features to select which vehicles you want to display on the map.

Delphi Connect with 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot

  1. What's the difference between Delphi Connect and Delphi Connect with 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot?

    Delphi Connect with 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot has all the great functionality of Delphi Connect, plus it runs on the Verizon 4G LTE network and adds mobile hotspot support for up to 5 Wi-Fi enabled devices.

  2. How do I use the mobile hotspot feature on my Delphi Connect with 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot?

    The mobile hotspot feature can be set up via the Delphi Connect smartphone app or website. For specific instructions, visit our Support page.

  3. Do I need to pay more to use the mobile hotspot feature on my Delphi Connect with 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot?

    No, use of the mobile hotspot feature is included with the new Verizon Plan, The Verizon Plan and The MORE Everything Plan. Data usage for Wi-Fi-enabled devices connected to the mobile hotspot will deduct from your existing data package. You can monitor your usage and change your data allowance through My Verizon.

  4. Can I remove my Delphi Connect with 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot from my vehicle and still use the Mobile Hotspot?

    No, the Delphi Connect with 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot is powered by the vehicle and won't function outside the vehicle. For a portable 4G LTE mobile hotspot, check out the Verizon Jetpack®.

  5. Can I use the Delphi Connect Mobile Hotspot from outside the vehicle?

    The hotspot is designed to provide good signal strength inside your vehicle. You may be able to connect to the hotspot while outside the vehicle, but the signal will be significantly reduced.

  6. Will using the Delphi Connect with 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot drain my car's battery?

    There's no impact to the battery while the engine is running. You'll use some power from the battery if you use the hotspot while the engine if off. You can control the time the hotspot remains on after turning the engine off by using the shutoff timers.

  7. Can I disconnect or disallow a device from using the Delphi Connect with 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot?

    Yes, using the website, you can view the devices that have logged in to your account under Manage Mobile Account Activity. Devices are listed by the most recent connection time. Clicking the button Force Logout next to a device will log that device out. If the device appears more than once in the list, you only need to perform this step once. You should consider changing your password to prevent someone from logging back in. See the User Manual for more detailed information.
