Follow these instructions to activate your new or Certified Pre-Owned Windows Phone.
If you're an existing Verizon Wireless customer and need to activate your new Windows Phone, please refer to the Activating Your Windows Phone - Existing Customers page.
If you're upgrading from iPhone®, you should turn off iMessage® before activating your new phone.
You can skip to step 3 if your phone came with a pre-inserted SIM card:
- Remove the SIM card from its packaging by snapping it out of its holder and insert it into your new phone.
Note: The actual insertion process varies by device, so visit your device's simulator or refer to your User Guide for instructions on how to insert the SIM card. Please note that that not all devices are able to remove the battery.
- Insert the battery and battery cover.
- Charge your new phone.
Contact your old service provider for information on how to back up your contacts and media from your old phone and transfer them to your new phone.
