Manually Add a Wi-Fi Network - Samsung Galaxy S® 4

Note Wi-Fi network info is required to complete several steps. Refer to the network admin for assistance.

  1. From a Home screen, tap Apps (located in the lower-right).
    Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wi-Fi.
    Note If unavailable, tap the Menu icon Menu (located at the bottom-left) then tap Switch to list view.
  4. Ensure that the Wi-Fi switch (located in the upper-right) is turned on Switch On icon.
  5. Tap Add Wi-Fi Network (located at the bottom).
  6. From the Network SSID field, enter the appropriate network name.
  7. From the Security field, tap the Dropdown menu.
  8. Tap the applicable security option:
    Note If using an Open network (None), skip to step 10.
    • None
    • WEP
    • WPA/WPA2 PSK
    • 802.1x EAP
  9. Enter the password into the Password field.
    Note To view the password as it is being entered, tap Show password (enabled when a check mark is present).
  10. Ensure that all additional settings (e.g. EAP method, Proxy Settings, CA certificate, etc.) are configured appropriately (if applicable) then tap Save.
