To automatically switch from a weak or unstable Wi-Fi network to the Verizon Wireless cellular network to preserve a consistent data connection, view this info.

Note When enabled, this advanced setting allows the device to switch from a weak or unstable Wi-Fi network to the Verizon Wireless cellular network to preserve consistent data throughput.

 

Caution When connected to the Verizon Wireless cellular network, data overage charges may apply (depending upon data plan). For data usage information, dial #DATA (#3282) from the device or refer to My Verizon website.

  1. From a Home screen, tap the Apps icon Applications icon (located at the bottom).
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wi-Fi.
  4. If presented with Wi-Fi tutorial, tap Close tutorial.
  5. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (located in the lower-right).
  6. Tap Advanced.
  7. Tap Avoid poor connections to enable or disable.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
