Manually Add a Wi-Fi Network - Samsung Galaxy S III

Note Wi-Fi network info is required to complete several steps. Refer to the network admin for assistance.

  1. From the home screen, tap Apps (located in the lower-right).
  2. From the APPS tab, tap Settings.
  3. From the WIRELESS & NETWORKS section, tap Wi-Fi.
  4. Ensure the Wi-Fi switch (located in the upper-right) is turned ON then tap Add Wi-Fi Network.
  5. From the Network SSID field, enter the appropriate name.
  6. From the Security field, tap the dropdown menu.
  7. Tap the appropriate security option:
    Note If using an Open network (None), skip to step 9.
    • None
    • WEP
    • WPA/WPA2 PSK
    • 802.1x EAP
  8. From the Password field, enter the appropriate password.
    Note To view the password as it is being entered, tap Show password (enabled when a check mark is present).
  9. Ensure additional settings (e.g. EAP method, Phase 2 authentication, CA certificate, etc.) are configured appropriately (if applicable) then tap Save.
