Manage Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot Settings - Brigadier™ by Kyocera

 

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Settings > More (Wireless & networks).
  2. Tap Tethering & Mobile Hotspot.
  3. Tap Mobile Hotspot.
  4. Tap Manage Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot Settings then select an option:
    Note If options are unavailable, tap the Mobile Hotspot switch to turn off Off switch.

 

Configure

  1. Tap Configure.
  2. From the Configure screen, configure the following as needed:
    • Network name
    • Security
      • Open
        Note If presented with a Warning screen, tap Continue.
      • WPA2 PSK
    • Password
      Note Password can be changed.
    • Show password
      Note Enabled when a checkmark is present.
  3. Tap SAVE.
  4. If needed, tap Channel to select a broadcast channel (e.g., Auto, 1 - 11).
    Note Auto (default setting) is recommended.

Manage devices

  1. To create a list of devices that can connect to the hotspot, tap Manage devices.
  2. Tap Manage allowed devices.
    Note To set allowed devices:
    1. Tap the Add icon + (upper-right).
    2. Enter the device name and MAC address then tap OK.
  3. Tap Allow all devices to connect to enable or disable.
    Note Enabled when a checkmark is present.
  4. When finished, press the Back button (located in the lower-left).

Battery management

  1. Tap Battery management.
    Note Sets how long before the hotspot turns off after no activity.
  2. Select an option then tap the Back button (located in the lower-left):
    • Never turn-off
    • 5 min
    • 10 min
    • 20 min
    • 30 min
    • 60 min
