Add a Virtual Private Network - Brigadier™ by Kyocera

A virtual private network (VPN) encrypts your internet traffic and protects your online identity via a secured remote server and is most commonly used when remotely accessing company systems (e.g., company email, intranet sites, etc.).

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Settings.
  2. From the Wireless & networks section, tap More.
  3. Tap VPN then tap Basic VPN.
  4. If presented with a lock screen notification, tap OK.
    Note Refer to Set Up Screen Lock for assistance.
  5. Tap the Add icon + (upper-right).
  6. From the Name field, enter the appropriate name.
    Note Contact the VPN administrator for assistance with server information and credentials.
  7. From the Type field, tap the Dropdown menu Dropdown menu icon (located to the right of the field) then select VPN type:
    • PPTP
    • L2TP/IPSec PSK
    • L2TP/IPSec RSA
    • IPSec Xauth PSK
    • IPSec Xauth RSA
    • IPSec Hybrid RSA
  8. Enter the appropriate information into the applicable fields then tap Save (lower-right).
    Note If applicable, tap Show advanced options to configure the following:
    Note The available options vary depending upon the selected VPN type.
    • Enable L2TP
    • IPSec pre-shared key
    • DNS search domains
    • DNS servers
    • Forwarding routes
