Manage Data Usage - Brigadier™ by Kyocera

To change the data usage cycle on your device, view data usage and set data warnings and restrictions, view this info.

Note Notes:

  • Data usage info provided by the device may differ from actual usage. For data usage info provided by Verizon Wireless, refer to the My Verizon website.

  • To control data usage on your account, refer to Verizon Smart Family™.

 

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Settings.
  2. From the Wireless & networks section, tap Data Usage then do any of the following:
    • Change Data Usage Cycle:
      1. From the 'Data usage cycle' field, tap the Dropdown menu Dropdown menu icon.
      2. Tap Change cycle.
      3. Select the appropriate date then tap SET.
        Note Refer to the My Verizon website for the billing cycle date.
    • Set Mobile Data Warning:
      Note A notification message appears upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the black warning line.
    1. Tap the Alert me about data usage switch to turn on Switch on indicator or off Switch off indicator.
    2. From the 'Your phone will alert you when your mobile data usage reaches the warning amount you set below' prompt, tap OK.
    3. Touch and hold the black dot (to the right of the warning line).
    4. Drag the black warning line to the desired level (e.g., 1.8GB) then release.
    • Set Mobile Data Limit:
      Caution Mobile / cellular data is disabled upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the red limit line. To continue to utilize apps dependent upon a data connection (e.g., browser, email, etc.), Wi-Fi can be used or Mobile data must be manually adjusted (overage charges may apply).
    1. Tap the Limit mobile data usage switch to turn on Switch on indicator or off Switch off indicator.
    2. From the 'Your mobile data connection will be disabled when the specified limit is reached' prompt, tap OK.
    3. Tap and hold the red dot (to the right of the limit line).
    4. Drag the red limit line to the desired level (e.g., 2.0GB) then release.
