Email Account Sync Frequency Settings - Samsung Galaxy Note II

To adjust the sync frequency settings for your personal email, view this info.

Note Available settings vary depending upon the type of account.

  1. From a Home screen, tap Apps Applications icon (located in the lower right).
  2. From the Apps tab, tap Email.
  3. From an Inbox, tap Menu Menu button icon (located at the bottom).
  4. Tap Settings.
  5. Tap Account settings.
  6. Tap the appropriate email account.
  7. Tap Sync settings.
  8. Tap Sync Email to enable or disable.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
  9. Tap Sync schedule.
  10. Tap Set sync schedule then select the preferred schedule (e.g., Push, Manual, 1 hour, etc.).
  11. Tap While roaming then select either Manual or Use above settings.
  12. Tap Peak schedule to enable or disable.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
  13. With Peak schedule enabled:
    1. Tap Set peak schedule then select the preferred schedule (e.g., Push, Manual, 1 hour, etc.).
    2. From the Peak days section, select the preferred weekdays (e.g., M (Monday), W (Wednesday), F (Friday), etc.).
    3. To change when the peak time begins:
      1. Tap Peak start time
      2. Adjust the start time then tap Set.
    4. To change the the peak time ends:
      1. Tap Peak end time.
      2. Adjust the end time then tap Set.
    5. Tap Back Back button icon (located in the lower right).
  14. Tap Size to retrieve emails.
  15. Tap Size to retrieve emails then select the appropriate setting (e.g., Headers only, 2 KB, 100 KB, etc.).
  16. Tap While roaming then select the appropriate setting (e.g., Headers only, 2 KB, 100 KB, etc.).
