Set Up Screen Lock - HTC One® remix

NoteNotes:
  • If using Microsoft Exchange / Corporate sync, some screen lock options (e.g., Face Unlock, Pattern, PIN) may be unavailable.
  • These steps can also be utilized to change your current screen lock setting.

 

  1. From a Home screen, tap Apps Apps icon (located at the bottom).
  2. Tap Settings.
    Note If unavailable, tap the dropdown menu Applications dropdown menu icon (located in the upper left) then tap Alphabetical. If still unavailable, refer to Manage App Icons.
  3. From the PERSONAL section, tap Security.
  4. Tap Screen lock.
    Note If presented with "This device does not have a Google account associated with it. If you forget your PIN, it cannot be sent to you and a factory reset has to be performed to recover the device.", tap Add Google account now to setup the account before proceeding to step 5. If desired to proceed to step 5 without setting up a Google account, tap Continue.
    Note If presented, enter the current PIN/password/pattern.
  5. Tap one of the following:

 

Pattern

Note An unlock pattern is created then utilized to access the device.

  1. Draw an unlock pattern (connecting at least 4 dots) then tap CONTINUE.
  2. Re-draw the pattern then tap CONFIRM.
  3. Tap OK.
  4. If desired, tap Make pattern visible to enable/disable.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.

PIN

Note A PIN number is created then utilized to access the device.

  1. Enter a numeric PIN (4 to 16 digits) then tap CONTINUE.
  2. Re-enter the numeric PIN then tap OK.
  3. If presented, tap OK.

Note A password is created then utilized to access the device.

  1. Enter a password (4 to 16 characters) then tap CONTINUE.
  2. Re-enter the password then tap OK.
