Initial Setup - Kid's Corner - HTC One® (M8) for Windows®

Note Kid's corner is a location on the device where children can play with only the games, apps, music and videos that the user adds to kid's corner. Children flick the Lock Screen to access their own personal Start screen, which can be customized by the user. Kid's corner operates above the Lock screen so children cannot change Start screen Tiles or have access to the device's apps or files outside of the kid's corner environment.

  1. From the Start screen, swipe left to display the Apps list.
    Note Alternatively, tap All apps Right arrow icon (located in the lower-right; may require scrolling to the bottom of the Start screen).
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap kid's corner.
  4. Tap next.
  5. Tap the desired content type option:
    • Games
    • Videos
    • Music
    • Apps
  6. Tap the the desired content item(s) then tap done Done icon (located at the bottom).

    linote To add additional content items, repeat steps 5 and 6.
  7. Tap next.
  8. To enable a password, tap set password. Otherwise, tap skip.
    linote If a lock screen password has already been setup on the device, the kid's corner password is the same password from lock screen settings.
  9. Tap finish.
  10. From the kid's corner Start screen, swipe up to access kid's corner.
  11. If presented with a 'Welcome to kid's corner' screen, tap OK.

Note To exit kid's corner, press the Power button to turn the display off.
