Apple® iPhone® 6 / 6 Plus - Voice Dial

Note Notes:

  • Voice Dial is a feature that lets you speak a number or contact name to call; it's usually used in conjunction with Siri, but you can make calls using Voice Control even if Siri is off.
  • A passcode must be enabled to access the Voice Dial switch. For assistance with passcode setup, refer to Phone Lock.

  1. From the Home screen, navigate: Settings > Passcode > Turn Passcode On.
  2. Enter your passcode.
  3. Re-enter your passcode.
  4. Tap the Voice Dial switch to turn on Switch On or off Switch Off.
  5. Touch and hold the Home button to access Siri (or Voice Control if Siri is turned off).
Note If Siri is turned off, Voice Control allows you to make some simple requests (call a number, play a song) using voice commands.
  6. Speak into the microphone and say "call" before the contact or number you wish to dial.
Note If you have multiple entries for a contact, choose the desired name or number when prompted.
