Manage DTMF Tones - HTC One® (M8) for Windows®

If you're calling into an automated dial-in system (e.g., voicemail) and your dialpad entries aren't being recognized, view this info.

Note Dual-tone multi-frequency (DTMF) tones are used by automated dial-in systems such as voicemail or where prompts are used to navigate.

  1. From the Start screen, swipe left to display the Apps list.
    Note Alternatively, tap All apps Right arrow icon (located in the lower-right; may require scrolling to the bottom of the Start screen).
  2. Tap Phone.
  3. Tap More More icon (located in the lower-right).
  4. Tap settings.
  5. From the Long tones section, tap the On/Off switch.
    On Switch On icon
    Long tones are enabled.
    Off Switch Off icon
    Long tones are disabled.
