Unblock SIM PIN - HTC One® (M8) for Windows

Note The PIN Unblocking Key (PUK) is utilized to reset a blocked SIM card.

  • For Postpaid accounts, you must obtain the PUK via the My Verizon website before proceeding.
  • For Prepaid accounts, contact customer service to obtain the PUK before proceeding.

 

  1. From the Start screen, swipe left to display the Apps list.
    Note Alternatively, tap All apps Right arrow icon (located in the lower-right; may require scrolling to the bottom of the Start screen).
  2. Select Phone.
  3. Tap More More icon (located in the lower-right).
  4. Tap settings.
  5. From the SIM security section, tap change SIM PIN.
    Note Ensure SIM security is set to ON.
  6. Enter the 8-digit PUK obtained from Verizon Wireless then tap enter (located to the right, above the numeric keypad).
    Note If an invalid PUK is entered too many times, the SIM card is permanently disabled.
  7. Enter a new SIM PIN (4 to 8-digits) then tap enter.
  8. Re-enter the new SIM PIN then tap enter.
