Auto Switch Between Wi-Fi & Mobile Data Networks - Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5

To automatically switch from a weak or unstable Wi-Fi network to the Verizon Wireless cellular network to preserve a consistent data connection, view this info.

Note Notes:

  • When enabled, this advanced setting allows the device to switch from a weak or unstable Wi-Fi network to the Verizon Wireless cellular network to preserve consistent data throughput.
  • This function is not enabled by default; the device prompts the user to enable the feature the first time they experience poor Wi-Fi connectivity Wifi weak.

Warning When connected to the Verizon Wireless cellular network, data overage charges may apply (depending upon data plan). For data usage information, refer to the My Verizon website.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon Apps > Settings > Wi-Fi.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Menu (located in the upper-right).
  3. Tap Advanced.
  4. Tap Smart network switch to enable or disable.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
  5. If presented with the "Mobile data may be used to maintain a stable Internet connection. This may result in additional charges depending on your payment plan" prompt, tap OK to continue.
