Manually Add a Wi-Fi Network - BlackBerry® Q10

Note Notes:

  • Wi-Fi network information is required to complete several steps. Refer to the network administrator for assistance.
  • To setup a connection, Wi-Fi must be turned on.
  1. From the home screen, tap Settings.
    Note If not available, swipe down from the top of the display (where the time is located).
  2. Tap Network Connections.
  3. Tap Wi-Fi.
  4. Tap Add (plus icon located at the bottom).
  5. From the SSID field, enter the appropriate name.
  6. If applicable, tap Hidden SSID.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
  7. Tap the "Security Type" dropdown menu.
  8. Tap the appropriate security option:
    • Open
    • WEP
    • WPA/WPA2 Personal
    • WPA/WPA2 Enterprise
  9. If applicable, enter the appropriate password into the Password field.
    Note To view the password as it is being entered, tap Show password (eye icon located on the right).
  10. Ensure additional settings (e.g., VPN Profiles, Band Type, Auto Obtain IP, etc.) are configured appropriately (if applicable) then tap Connect (located in the upper right).
