Manually Add a Wi-Fi Network - BlackBerry® Z30

Note Wi-Fi network information is required to complete several steps. Refer to the network administrator for assistance.

  1. From the home screen, tap Settings.
    Note If not available, swipe down from the top of the display (where the time is located).
  2. Tap Network and Connections.
  3. Tap Wi-Fi.
  4. Ensure that the Wi-Fi On/Off switch (in upper right of the screen) is enabled On switch icon.
  5. Tap Add (at bottom of the screen).
  6. From the "SSID" field, enter the appropriate name.
  7. If applicable, tap Hidden SSID.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
  8. Tap the "Security Type" dropdown menu.
  9. Tap the appropriate security option:
    • Open
    • WEP
    • WPA/WPA2 Personal
    • WPA/WPA2 Enterprise
  10. If applicable, enter the appropriate password into the "Password" field.
    Note To view the password as it is being entered, tap Show password (eye icon on right of the screen).
  11. Ensure additional settings (e.g., VPN Profiles, Band Type, Auto Obtain IP, etc.) are configured appropriately (if applicable) then tap Connect (in upper right of the screen).
