Wi-Fi Calling settings don't transfer after switching devices and/or performing a factory data reset. You need to enable W-Fi Calling manually if you want to use it.
If powered off, press and hold the Power button (located on the right edge of the device) until the Samsung logo appears then release.
Select the appropriate Language then tap Next.
From the Setup Wizard screen, tap Next or tap Activate Now (if available).
If prompted, enter the last 4 digits of the Account Owner's Social Security Number or the Billing Password.
If activating a new phone, ensure the old phone is powered off and allow several minutes for the deactivation of the old phone to complete.
From the 'Got another device?' screen select an option then tap Next:
Copy your Google Accounts, apps, and data from your other device
If selected, do one of the following:
Follow the onscreen prompts to complete transfer of data.
From the 'Add your Google account' screen, tap Skip.
When prompted with 'Skip account setup?' tap Skip.
From the 'Name' screen, enter a first and last name then tap Next.
From the 'Google services' screen, tap (check) the applicable preferences then tap Next.
From the Verizon Cloud screen, tap Skip then tap Not Now.
From the Email setup screen, tap Skip.
From the summary screen, tap Done (located in the lower-right).
From the Samsung account screen, tap Skip.
To add a Samsung account after initial setup, from a Home screen navigate: Apps > Settings > Add account > Samsung account.
From the 'Protect your phone' prompt tap No.
You can always turn on Reactivation lock to protect your phone by navigating: Apps > Settings > Security > Reactivation lock.
