Set Up Screen Lock - HTC Desire 612

Note Notes:

  • When using Microsoft® Exchange or Corporate sync, the option to turn off the screen lock may be unavailable.
  • These steps can also be utilized to change your current screen lock setting.

 

  1. From a Home screen, tap Apps (lower-right).
  2. From the Apps tab, tap Settings.
    Note If necessary, from the Apps menu (on the left) tap Custom.
  3. Tap Security.
  4. Tap Screen lock.
    Note If presented, enter the current PIN/password/pattern.
  5. Tap one of the following:
    Lock screen
    No lock screen
    Face Unlock (start with step 3)
    Pattern
    PIN
    Password

 

Pattern

Note A pattern is created to access the device.

  1. Draw an unlock pattern (connecting at least 4 dots) then tap Continue.
  2. Re-draw the pattern then tap Confirm.
  3. From the Choose backup PIN screen, enter a numeric PIN (4 to 16 digits) then tap Continue.
    Note If a backup PIN isn't desired, tap Skip.
  4. Re-enter the numeric PIN then tap OK.
  5. If presented with "You're all done!" screen, tap OK.
  6. If presented with "Lock screen previews" prompt, tap OK to allow private contacts' name and photo to be displayed for incoming calls on the lock screen.

PIN

Note A PIN is created to access the device.

  1. Enter a numeric PIN (4 to 16 digits) then tap OK.
  2. Re-enter the numeric PIN then tap OK.
  3. If presented with "You're all done!" screen, tap OK.
  4. If presented with "Lock screen previews" prompt, tap OK to allow private contacts' name and photo to be displayed for incoming calls on the lock screen.

Password

Note A password is created to access the device.

  1. Enter a password (4 to 16 characters) then tap Continue.
  2. Re-enter the password then tap OK.
  3. If presented with "You're all done!" screen, tap OK.
  4. If presented with "Lock screen previews" prompt, tap OK to allow private contacts' name and photo to be displayed for incoming calls on the lock screen.
