Create and Send a Text Message - Samsung Galaxy Note® 4

Note If Messages is disabled, ensure Messages is set as the default app.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Messages.
    Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. From the Inbox, tap the Compose icon Compose message icon (located in the lower-right).
  3. From the Enter recipient field, enter a 10-digit mobile number or a contact name.
    Note As the number or name is entered, a matching contact may appear and can be tapped at any time.
  4. To add a subject:
    1. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (located in the upper-right).
    2. Tap Add subject.
    3. Enter a subject.
  5. To add an attachment:
    1. Tap the Attach icon Paper clip icon (located in the lower-left).
    2. Select the attachment type (e.g., Images, Audio, Video, etc.).
    3. Locate then tap the preferred file or attachment.
  6. From the Enter message field, enter a message.
  7. Tap Send (located in the lower-right).
