Samsung Galaxy Note® 4 - Link / Unlink Contacts

Note The Contacts app uses an intelligent merge feature to combine contact info from various sources (GmailTM, Microsoft® Exchange, Facebook®, new entries, etc.). If contact info was joined in error it can be separated back into individual contacts.

  1. From a Home screen, tap Contacts (located at the bottom).
    Note If unavailable, navigate: Apps > Contacts.
    Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. From the Contacts tab (located at the top), tap a contact.
  3. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (located in the upper-right).
  4. Tap Link contacts.
  5. Tap the contact to link to then tap DONE (located in the upper-right).

Unlink contacts

  1. From a Home screen, tap Contacts (located at the bottom).
    Note If unavailable, navigate: Apps > Contacts.
    Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. From the Contacts tab (located at the top), tap a contact.
  3. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (located in the upper-right).
  4. Tap Unlink contacts.
  5. Tap the Minus symbol (-) to the right of the contact to be unlinked.
