Samsung Galaxy Note® 4 - Manage Data Usage

Note Notes:

  • Data usage info provided by the device may differ from actual usage. For data usage info provided by Verizon, refer to the My Verizon website.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Settings.
    Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. Tap Data usage then do any of the following:
    • Change Data Usage Cycle:
    1. From the Data usage cycle field, tap the Dropdown menu Drop down menu icon.
    2. Tap Change cycle.
    3. Select the appropriate date then tap SET.
      Note Refer to the My Verizon website for the billing cycle date.
    • Set Mobile Data Limit:
      Caution Mobile / cellular data is disabled upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the red limit line. To continue to utilize apps dependant on a data connection (e.g. browser, email, etc.), Wi-Fi can be used or mobile data must be manually adjusted (overage charges may apply).
    1. Tap Limit mobile data usage to enable.
      Note Enabled when a checkmark is present.
    2. If presented with Limiting data usage screen, review the message then tap OK.
    3. Tap the orange limit line.
    4. Tap the number (located between the up and down arrows).
    5. Enter the preferred data usage limit then tap SET.
    • Set Mobile Data Warning:
      Note A notification message appears upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the orange warning line.
    1. Tap Alert me about data usage to enable.
      Note Enabled when a checkmark is present.
    2. If presented with a Data usage alert screen, tap OK.
    3. Tap the black warning line.
    4. Tap the number (located between the up and down arrows).
    5. Enter the preferred warning limit then tap SET.
