View Battery Status - Sony Xperia® Z3v

Note Apps and processes are listed from highest to lowest percentage of power consumption. Review any high or unusual battery drain.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps icon Apps icon > Settings > Battery.
  2. Review the Estimated battery time (located at the top).
  3. Adjust the following Power Saving modes as preferred:
    Stamina mode
    Turns on Sony power save function to extend battery lifetime
    Ultra Stamina mode
    Prolongs battery time by keeping only basic phone functions on
    Low battery mode
    Turns off some functions in order to save power when battery level is low
    Queue background data
    Save battery by sending background data less often
  4. Tap Battery usage.
  5. Review the current battery status.
    Note Percentage indicates the remaining battery life, charging status.
    Charging (USB)
    Charging at lower rate
    Charging (AC)
    Charging at standard rate, preferred method
  6. Review the battery usage (e.g., Screen, Android OS, Wi-Fi, etc.)
  7. Tap the battery history graph.
    Note Battery history graph displays the time since it was last charged at 100%.
  8. View the history of battery usage.
    • Battery Usage line graph.
    • Color coded Mobile network signal bar graph.
      Note Signal strength has an effect on battery life.
      Very Good
      No Signal
      Radio Off
    • Color coded bar graphs for Mobile network, Wi-Fi, Awake, Screen on and Charging.
      • Mobile network signal
      • Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi radio is on/off.
      • Awake: Running tasks/apps, however the screen is not necessarily on.
      • Screen On: Indicates the screen is visible, not in standby.
      • Charging: Indicates when a device is plugged into a charger and charging.
        The charging line shows periods of partial charging (in green) since the last complete charge.
