Turn Multi window On / Off - Samsung Galaxy Note® 4

Note Notes:

  • The Multi window feature allows multiple apps to be run on the current screen at the same time.
  • The Multi window feature can also be turned on/off via the Notification Panel.
  • The Multi window tab can be hidden/displayed by touching and holding the Back icon Back icon from any screen. This action does not enable/disable the app. For additional assistance refer Multi window.

 

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Settings.
    Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. From the Device section, tap Multi window.
  3. Tap the Multi window switch (located in the upper-right) to turn Switch On icon or off Switch Off icon.
  4. If on, enable or disable the following settings:
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    • Open in split screen view
      Note When enabled, content automatically opens in Multi window view when an app is open in full screen view.
      Note App must support Multi window to utilize this option.
    • Pop up view shortcut
      Note This option is enabled by default. When enabled, screen changes to pop-up view by swiping down diagonally from either top corner of the screen.
      Note To turn off this option, navigate: Apps > Settings > Multi window > deselect (uncheck) Pop up view shortcut.
