Manually Add a Wi-Fi Network - Nexus 7

Note Wi-Fi network info is required to complete several steps. Refer to the network admin for assistance.

  1. From the Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Settings Settings icon > Wi-Fi Accounts icon.
    Note Located at the bottom (in portrait) or on the right (in landscape).
  2. Ensure that the Wi-Fi Switch is on (located in the upper-right).
  3. Tap the Menu icon Menu icon (located in the upper-right) then tap Add network.
  4. From the Network SSID field, enter the appropriate name.
  5. From the Security field, tap the Dropdown menu (located on the right).
  6. Select one of the following security options:
    Note If using the Open network (None), skip to step 7.
    • None
    • WEP
    • WPA/WPA2 PSK
    • 802.1x EAP
    • WAPI PSK
    • WAPI Certificate
  7. From the Password field, enter the appropriate password.
    Note To view the password as it is being entered, tap (check) Show password.
  8. Ensure additional settings (e.g., EAP method, Phase 2 authentication, CA certificate, etc.) are configured appropriately (if applicable) then tap Save.
