Manually Set Up Corporate Email (Exchange ActiveSync) - The new Moto X™

Note Contact your Exchange / IT Administrator for assistance with server information and credentials.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Settings > Accounts > Add account.
  2. Tap Corporate.
  3. Enter your corporate email address then tap MANUAL SETUP (located in the lower-left).
  4. Tap Exchange.
  5. Enter the password then tap the Right arrow icon (located in the lower-right).
  6. Ensure that the appropriate info is entered into the following fields:
    • Domain\Username
    • Password
    • Server
    • Port
    • Security Type
  7. If applicable, configure the following then tap the Right arrow icon:
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    • Use secure connection (SSL)
    • Use client certificate
  8. Configure the account options (e.g., Period to sync Email, Sync schedule, etc.) as necessary then tap the Right arrow icon.
  9. If presented with an Activation prompt, review the info then tap OK.
  10. If presented with a Remote security administration prompt, tap OK.
  11. If presented with an "Activate device administrator" screen, tap Activate.
    Note Follow the on-screen steps to complete the applied security policy (e.g., Set up password, Device encryption).
    Note Device encryption can exceed 60 minutes.
  12. If desired, enter an account name then tap the Right arrow icon.
