Email Account Password and Server Settings - Samsung Galaxy Note Edge

To configure personal email server settings (e.g., password, Exchange server, etc.), follow these steps.

  1. From a Home screen, tap Apps Apps icon (located in the lower-right).
    Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. Tap Email.
  3. From an Inbox, tap the Menu icon Menu icon (located in the upper-right).
  4. Tap Settings.
  5. Tap Manage accounts.
  6. Tap the appropriate email account.
  7. If available, tap Password.
  8. Enter the password then tap OK.
  9. Tap More settings (located at the bottom; may require scrolling).
  10. From the Server settings section, tap Incoming settings (if available).
  11. Edit any of the following then tap Done (located at the bottom; may require scrolling):
    Note The available settings may vary depending upon the email account type.
    • Email address
    • Username
    • Password
    • IMAP/POP3 server
      Note If you're not sure what your server info is, here are some common personal email server addresses. Contact your email provider if additional assistance is needed or your server info isn't listed.
    • Security type
    • Port
    • Delete email from server
  12. Tap Outgoing settings (if available).
  13. Edit any of the following then tap Done (located at the bottom; may require scrolling):
    Note The available settings may vary depending upon the email account type.
    • SMTP server
    • Security type
    • Port
    • Require sign-in.
      Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    • Username
    • Password
