Reset App - Samsung Galaxy Note® Edge

If your device crashes, resets itself or freezes, it may be caused by apps and this info may help.

Note Personal data such as browser bookmarks and other customized settings can be backed up to and restored from Google servers.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Settings Settings icon > Applications (Device section).
    Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. Tap Application manager.
  3. Locate then select the appropriate app.
    Note If system apps aren't visible, tap the Menu icon Menu (located in the upper-right) > Show system apps.
  4. Tap Force stop.
  5. When prompted with Force stop, tap OK.
  6. Tap Storage.
  7. Tap Clear data.
    Note This option may not be available for some apps.
    Note Resetting an app or clearing data storage may delete saved info within the app (e.g., calendar events may be lost).
  8. When prompted with "Delete app data?", tap OK.
