Restore Data - Blackberry® Desktop Manager (Windows®)

Note To backup data, refer to Backup Data for assistance.

BlackBerry Desktop Manager v4.x / 5.x

  1. Ensure the device is connected to the computer via the supplied USB cable.
  2. Launch BlackBerry Desktop Software.
    Note From the Windows desktop, navigate Start > Programs (All Programs) > BlackBerry > Desktop Manager.
    Note With Windows 10, click Start > Apps icon Apps Menu icon (located in the top-left corner) > All apps (located in the bottom-left corner) > BlackBerry > BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
  3. Click Backup and Restore.

  4. Click Restore.

  5. Select the appropriate backup file then click Open.

  6. Click Yes.

  1. Ensure the device is connected to the computer via the supplied USB cable.
  2. Launch BlackBerry Desktop Software.
    Note From the Windows desktop, navigate Start > All Programs (Programs) > BlackBerry > BlackBerry Desktop Software.
    Note With Windows 10, click Start > Apps icon Apps Menu icon (located in the top-left corner) > All apps (located in the bottom-left corner) > BlackBerry > BlackBerry Desktop Software.
  3. From the top menu, click Device.

  4. Click Restore.

  5. Select the appropriate restore settings then click Restore:
    Note The file name depicted in the following images is only an example.
    • File name
      Note If applicable, click Change folder to navigate to then display backup files in an alternate location.
    • Select Data to Restore
      • All device data and settings
      • Select device data and settings
        Note If applicable, select (check) the appropriate data type options.

  6. Click Yes.
    Your current data will be replaced prompt with Yes
  7. Click Close.
