Delete and Recreate Dial-Up Connections - VZAccess® Manager - Windows®

  1. Launch VZAccess Manager:
    Note Click Start > Programs (All Programs) > VZAccess Manager.
    Note With Windows 10, click Start > Apps icon Apps Menu icon (located in the top-left corner) > All apps (located in the bottom-left corner) > VZAccess Manager.
  2. Open Network and Dial-up Connections Control Panel:
    Note Click Tools > Control Panels > Network and Dial-up Connections.
  3. Right-click the NationalAccess / BroadbandAccess icon then click Delete.
    Note If present, right-click the Quick 2 Net icon then click Delete.
    Note If using a GlobalAccess device, right-click the VZGlobal icon then click Delete.

  4. Click Yes.
  5. Close the Network and Dial-up Connections Control Panel by clicking the X in the upper right corner.
  6. From the VZAccess Manager main screen, click Options > Run Wizard.
    Note Running the wizard creates the new dial-up connection(s).
  7. Click Next.
  8. Select the appropriate option then click Next.
    Note If configuring a WWAN device only, skip to step 10.

  9. Insert the Wi-Fi adapter then click Next.
  10. Click Next.
  11. Select the appropriate connectivity option then click Next.
    Serial Port
    For SMARTPHONE / Advanced Devices that connect using a Serial cable.
    USB Port
    For handsets and SMARTPHONE / Advanced Devices that connect using a USB cable.
    Data Cable
    For handsets and SMARTPHONE / Advanced Devices that connect using a USB cable.
    PC Card, ExpressCard or USB Modem
    For PCMCIA, Express, or USB based modems.
    Bluetooth
    For devices that support Dial-up Networking via Bluetooth.
    Note If using Bluetooth, please refer to Configure a Bluetooth Modem - VZAccess Manager for assistance.
    Note Connectivity options may differ from the example shown.

  12. Insert the PC Card / ExpressCard or connect the device and cable then click Next.
  13. Click Next.
  14. If presented, enter the device's 10-digit mobile number then click Next.
  15. Click Finish.
