You receive this message when you call someone who doesn't answer and doesn't have voice mail set up. If someone has received this message when calling you and you would like to set up your voice mail, follow these steps:
Dial *86 from your wireless phone to set up voice mail.
If you get a message that you do not currently have voice mail, visit My Verizon.
Enter your user ID or mobile number then click Continue.
Enter your password then click Continue.
Click Manage Products and Apps.
Verify your voice mail add-on is active. If not, click Get it now next to the desired voice mail option.
Dial *86 from your phone to set up your voice mail.
You can verify if your voice mail is active by calling your phone.
