Check Verizon Wireless Coverage - Network Extender

Notes:

  • Checking for coverage with our Verizon map is a good starting point for almost all troubleshooting.
  • The 3G Network Extender can enhance your calling or 3G data coverage.
  • The 4G LTE Network Extender can enhance your calling or 4G data coverage. 

Note Use the Verizon Wireless Coverage Locator to determine your coverage:

  1. Click Coverage.
  2. Click Find a Detailed Coverage Map of your Area.

 

Your device has several indicators of service. The following table shows what the indicators on your device mean:

Device Signal Indicators (varies by device)

Network Extender indicator

Connected to a Network Extender.
Note: To verify that a device is connected to a Network Extender, dial #48. Turn on Advanced Calling to test 4G Network Extender service.

4G / LTE Service indicator 4G / LTE Service is available.
4G / LTE Service indicator 4G / LTE Service is available.
3G / EV-DO Service indicator 3G / Mobile Broadband Service is available.
BroadbandAccess / EV-DO Service indicator 3G / Mobile Broadband Service is available.
NationalAccess / 1X Service indicator NationalAccess (1X) Service is available.
Digital indicator Digital features and services are available.
WiFi indicator Wi-Fi service is active.
Full signal strength indicator Signal strength. This may vary depending on location, wireless equipment, weather, topography and other environmental considerations associated with radio technology.
No Service indicator No Service. The device is not receiving signal from the network.
Extended Network indicator When the roam indicator is flashing or the banner display reads Extended Network, home airtime rates still apply, but additional features and services may not be available.
Roaming indicator When the roam indicator is solid or the banner display reads Roaming, roam rates apply and digital features and services are not available.
