Display and Actions - BlackBerry® Hub - BlackBerry® Classic

  1. From the Home screen, tap BlackBerry Hub Hub icon.
    Note Alternatively, swipe right until the BlackBerry Hub appears.
  2. Tap More Vertical menu icon (located in the lower-right) then tap Settings Settings icon.
  3. Tap any of the following:

 

Display and Actions

  1. Tap the 'Display Style' Dropdown menu Dropdown icon then select the desired option:
    • Conversation
    • Single Messages
  2. Tap the 'Display Order' Dropdown menu Dropdown icon then select the desired option:
    • Name, Subject
    • Subject, Name
  3. View/configure the following settings:
    Note Enabled when the On/Off switch is set to On On indicator.
    • Display Message Count
    • Display New Message Indicator
    • Show Filed Messages
    • Show Sent Messages
    • Download Images Automatically
    • Delete Message Confirmation
  4. Tap Back back icon (located in the lower-left).

Hub Management

  1. To change the items that appear in the main view of the Hub, tap the On/Off switch for any of the following:
    Note Enabled when the On/Off switch is set to On On indicator.
    • Email Accounts (e.g. Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo!, POP3, IMAP).
      Note The accounts presented within this section may vary.
    • Messaging
      Note Depending upon the apps that are installed, the options presented may vary.
      • BBM
      • Text Messages
    • Notifications
      Note Depending upon the apps that are installed, the options presented may vary.
      • Calls
      • Emergency Alerts
      • Voicemail
      • Visual Voice Mail
  2. Tap Back back icon (located in the lower-left).

Priority Hub

  1. View/configure the following settings:
    Note Enabled when the On/Off switch is set to On On indicator.
    • Priority Hub
    • Sender has the Same Last Name as Me
    • Message Sent with High Importance
    • I Started the Conversation
  2. Tap Back back icon (located in the lower-left).

Email Accounts

  1. If available, tap an email account.
  2. Tap the 'Auto Signature' On/Off switch to enable/disable.
    Note Enabled when the On/Off switch is set to On On indicator.
  3. If enabled, enter/edit the signature as desired.
  4. If available, tap the 'Out of Office Reply' On/Off switch to enable/disable.
    Note Enabled when the On/Off switch is set to On On indicator.
  5. If enabled, enter/edit the reply message as desired.
  6. Tap Back back icon (located in the lower-left).
  7. Tap Back back icon.

Text Messages

  1. From the 'SMS' tab, view/configure the following settings:
    Note Enabled when the On/Off switch is set to On On indicator.
    • Confirm Delivery
    • Enable Word Substitution
  2. From the 'MMS' tab, view/configure the following settings:
    Note Enabled when the On/Off switch is set to On On indicator.
    • Allow Read Confirmation
    • Confirm Delivery
    • Confirm Read
    • Reject Anonymous Messages
    • Reject Advertisements
    • Show SMS/MMS Mode Notifications
  3. Tap the 'Auto Retrieval Mode' Dropdown menu Dropdown iconthen select the desired option:
    • Always
    • Never
    • Home Only
    • Unspecified
  4. Tap Back back icon (located in the lower-left).

Emergency Alerts

  1. From the 'Alert Message Types' section, tap the On/Off switch for any of the following:
    Note Enabled when the On/Off switch is set to On On indicator.
    Note Presidential Alerts cannot be turned off (Disabled).
    • Extreme Threat Alerts
    • Severe Threat Alerts
    • AMBER Alerts
  2. From the 'Notification Preferences' section, tap the 'Reminder Setting' Dropdown menu Dropdown icon.
  3. Tap one of the following:
    • Off (default)
    • Once (remind after 2 minutes)
    • Every 2 minutes
    • Every 5 minutes
    • Every 10 minutes
  4. Tap Back back icon (located in the lower-left).
