Add a Virtual Private Network - BlackBerry® Classic

Note Contact the VPN administrator for assistance with server information and credentials.

  1. From the home screen, tap Settings Settings icon.
    Note If not available, swipe down from the top of the display (where the time is located).
  2. Tap Network Connections Network and connection settings icon.
  3. Tap VPN.
  4. Tap Add VPN profile.
  5. Enter/configure the following settings:
    • Profile Name
    • Server Address
    • Gateway Type
      • Check Point Software Technologies VPN-1
      • Cisco VPN 3000 Concentrator
      • Cisco Secure PIX Firewall VPN
      • Cisco IOS with Easy VPN Server
      • Cisco ASA
      • Juniper IPsec VPN (SRX Series)
      • Juniper IPsec VPN (NetScreen Series)
      • Juniper SSL VPN (MAG/SA Series)
      • Microsoft IKEv2 VPN Server
      • Generic IKEv2 VPN Server
    • Authentication Type
      • PSK
      • PKI
      • XAUTH-PSK
      • XAUTH-PKI
    • Group Username
    • Group Password
    • Hardware token
      Note Tap the On switch On indicator to enable.
    • Username
    • Password
  6. If applicable, Tap Advanced Advanced settings icon (located in the lower-left).
    Note If advanced options are not applicable, skip to step 8.
  7. Enter/configure the following settings:
    • Automatically determine IP
      Note Tap the On switch On indicator to enable.
    • Automatically determine DNS
      Note Tap the On switch On indicator to enable.
    • Automatically determine algorithm
      Note Tap the On switch On indicator to enable.
    • IKE Lifetime (seconds)
    • IPSec Lifetime (seconds)
    • NAT Keep Alive (seconds)
    • DPD Frequency (seconds)
    • Disable banner
      Note Tap the On switch On indicator to enable.
    • Use proxy
      Note Tap the On switch On indicator to enable.
  8. Tap Save (located in the lower-right).
