BlackBerry® Balance Settings - BlackBerry® Classic

  1. From the Home screen, tap Settings Settings icon.
    Note If not available, swipe down from the top of the display (where the time is located).
  2. Tap BlackBerry Balance.
  3. From the "Personal App Connections" section, tap the "Allow Personal Apps to Use Work Networks" On/Off switch to turn on On indicator or off Off indicator.
    Note Personal apps use the available mobile or Wi-Fi work network. Depending on your organization's policies, Internet services may be restricted or monitored.
    • On (Enabled)
    • Off (Disabled)
  4. To change the BlackBerry Balance password (Workspace password), tap Change Password from the "Work Password" section.
    1. Enter the current password then tap OK.
    2. From the "New Work Space Password" screen, enter a password into the following fields:
      Note If necessary, tap Password Rules to view password requirements.
      • Password
      • Confirm password
    3. To utilize the newly created Work Space Password as the device password, tap (check) Use as my device password.
      Note Using the same password to lock/unlock the device and access your Work Space may not be permitted by your BES administrator.
    4. Tap OK.
      Note Allow several minutes for the activation process to complete.
  5. Tap the "Use as my device password" On/Off switch to turn on or off.
    • On (Enabled)
    • Off (Disabled)
  6. Tap the "Lock work space after" dropdown menu Dropdown icon.
    Note Sets the length of time before the work space locks.
  7. Tap one of the following:
    • 30 Minutes
    • 20 Minutes
    • 15 Minutes
    • 10 Minutes
    • 5 Minutes
    • 2 Minutes
    • 1 Minute
  8. Tap the "Password attempt limit" dropdown menu Dropdown icon.
    Note Sets the number of password attempts before the work space is deleted.
