Manage Interruptions - The all new HTC One® (M8)

Note Notes:

  • The Interruptions feature allows sound/vibration (for phone calls, messages, etc.) to be turned on or off as preferred.
  • Alarms are always considered priority interruptions.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Settings > Sound & notification.
    Note If Settings is unavailable, tap the Dropdown menu Applications dropdown menu icon (located in the upper-left) then select Alphabetical. If still unavailable, refer to Manage App Icons.
  2. Tap Do not disturb.
  3. Tap Do Not Disturb mode (located at the top), select a setting then configure as preferred:
    • Off
    • Priority
      Note From the Set timer prompt, select an option (e.g., For 12 hours, etc.) then tap OK.
    • On
      Note From the Set timer prompt, select an option (e.g., For 12 hours, etc.) then tap OK.
  4. Tap Auto decline incoming calls to enable or disable.
    Note When enabled (check mark present), incoming calls go directly to voicemail.
  5. Tap Play alarms to enable or disable.
    Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
  6. Tap the following switches to turn on On switch icon or off Off switch icon .
    • Reminders
    • Events
    • Repeat callers
      Note When set to on, the second call from the same person within a 15-minute period is allowed.
  7. Tap the following then select an option (e.g., Anyone, Contacts only, etc.).
    • Messages from
    • Calls from
  8. If applicable, tap Manage approved contacts to configure.
    Note To add approved contacts:Note To remove approved contacts:
    1. Add icon + (located in the upper-right).
    2. Tap (check) the box next to the preferred contact(s).
    3. Tap Save (located at the bottom) then tap OK.
    4. Touch and hold the preferred contact(s).
    5. Tap Remove contacts.
    6. Tap OK.
  9. Tap Schedules then tap the following to configure as preferred (Rule name, Days, etc):
    • Weekend
    • Weeknight
    • Event
    • Add rule
