Samsung Galaxy S® 6 / S® 6 edge - Manage Data Usage

Note Notes:

  1. From a Home screen, navigate: Apps Apps icon > Settings Settings icon. > Data usage (Wireless and networks section).
    Note These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. Tap Data usage then do one of the following:
    • Set Mobile Data Limit:
      Caution Mobile / cellular data is disabled upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the red limit line. To continue to utilize apps dependant on a data connection (e.g., Browser, Email, etc.), Wi-Fi can be used or Mobile data must be manually adjusted (overage charges may apply).
    1. Tap Mobile data usage then tap the Gear icon Gear icon (upper-right).
    2. Tap Limit mobile data usage to turn on Switch on.
      Note If prompted, review the message then tap OK.
    3. Tap Data usage limit.
    4. Touch and hold the Red limit line.
    5. Enter the desired MB or GB (e.g., 5.0 GB) then tap SET.
    • Set Mobile Data Warning:
      Note A notification message appears upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the orange warning line.
    1. Tap Alert me about data usage to turn on Switch on.
      Note If prompted, review the message then tap OK.
    2. Tap Mobile data usage then tap the Gear icon Gear icon (upper-right).
    3. Tap Data usage warning.
    4. Enter the desired MB or GB (e.g., 2.0 GB) then tap SET.
    • Change Data Usage Cycle:
    1. Tap Bill cycle.
    2. Tap Bill cycle.
    3. From the Usage cycle reset date prompt, select the cycle date then tap SET.
      Note Refer to the My Verizon website for the billing cycle date.
