Manually Set Up Corporate Email (Exchange ActiveSync) - HTC One® M9
Contact the Exchange / IT Administrator for assistance with server information and credentials.
From the Home screen, navigate: Apps icon > Settings > Accounts & sync.
If Settings is unavailable, tap the Dropdown menu (located in the upper-left) then select Alphabetical. If still unavailable, refer to Manage App Icons.
Tap the Addicon + (located in the upper-right).
Tap Exchange ActiveSync for HTC Sense.
Enter your corporate email address and password then tap Manual setup (located in the lower-left).
Ensure the appropriate info is entered into the following fields:
If applicable, configure the following then tap Next (located at the bottom):
This server requires an encrypted SSL connection
Enabled when a check mark is present.
Configure the account options (e.g., Data to Sync, Update Schedule, etc.) as necessary then tap Next.
If desired, enter an account name then tap Finish Setup.
If presented with a security policy required prompt, tap OK to continue.
If presented with an "Activate device administrator" screen, tap Activate.
Follow the on-screen steps to complete the applied security policy (e.g., Set up password, Device encryption).
Device encryption can exceed 60 minutes.
