Set Purchase Limits - Verizon Smart Family™ - Website

Note Notes:

  • To perform the steps below, you need to:
    • use a desktop or laptop computer with an up to date web browser (e.g., Chrome™, Edge, Safari®, etc.).
    • sign in using a My Verizon user ID or mobile number that has Account Owner or Manager access privileges.
    • ensure the child device is powered off prior to adding or removing blocks, restrictions, limits, etc.
  • These steps don't apply to prepaid accounts.

 

  1. From a web broswer, sign in to My Verizon.
    Line note If using a smartphone or tablet, refer to the Android® or Apple® iOS instructions.
  2. From the My Verizon home screen, navigate: Plan > My Plans & ServicesManage Verizon Smart Family.
  3. From the list of devices (at the top), select the mobile number the limit should be applied to.
  4. From the left menu, click Limits & Controls to expand.
  5. Click Limit purchases.
  6. If necessary, click No limit to uncheck the box.
  7. From the per month field, enter the purchase limit in dollars (e.g., 50).
    Line note Once the limit is reached, purchases billed to Verizon are restricted until the next billing cycle.
    Line note Purchase limits must be less than $100 and apply to Apps, Games, Ringtones, Music, eBooks, Movies and Gifts.
    Line note At this time, free text alerts aren't sent for purchase limits.
  8. Click Save.
