Factory Data Reset (Powered On) - LG Lancet™

A factory data reset may help with a blank or frozen screen, apps crashing or freezing, keypad/touchscreen problems, can't hear, device making noises, can't make or receive calls, and device won't sync.

Caution Caution:

  • Perform a factory data reset only if absolutely necessary as it removes all data including:
  • This reset requires at least 50% battery level if not connected to an external power source and 20% or more if connected.

 

Note An alternate reset method is available if the device is unresponsive or won't power on. 

  1. From the Start screen, swipe left to display the apps list.
    Note Alternatively, tap All apps icon All apps icon (located in the lower-right, may require scrolling).
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap about.
  4. Tap reset your phone.
  5. Tap yes to confirm.
  6. Tap yes to confirm.
  7. If Reset Protection has been activated, enter the password associated with the Microsoft Account on the phone then tap Sign in.
    Note Allow several minutes for the process to complete (rotating gears appear on the display to indicate that the reset is in process).
    Note If applicable, set up your device.
