Samsung Galaxy S® 6 / S® 6 edge - Move Pictures / Videos to Device

This helps when you want to transfer or move your picture/video files between your device and a computer/PC.

Caution Only DRM free or unprotected video can be transferred via this method.

Note Notes:

  1. Connect the device to a computer using the supplied USB cable.
    1. If prompted to allow access to your data, tap ALLOW.
    2. Touch and hold the Status bar (located at the top) then drag to the bottom.

    3. From the Android System icon Android System section, ensure File Transfer is selected.
      Note If necessary, select the current option (e.g., Charging, Photo Transfer, etc.) then tap File Transfer.
  2. Launch File Explorer or Windows Explorer on the computer.
    Note Using the computer keyboard, press Windows+E ( windows key logo+E) keys.
    Note Alternatively, right-click Start then click Open File Explorer or Windows Explorer.
  3. Using Explorer, navigate to then copy the desired picture or video files.
    Note The default location for pictures or videos can be accessed by navigating: Libraries > "Pictures" or "Videos".
  4. Using Explorer, access the device folders by navigating: SAMSUNG-SM-G920V (Standard model) or SM-G925V (Edge model) > Phone then select one of the following folders:
    Note SAMSUNG-SM-G925V or SM-G920V is listed under the "Portable Devices" or "This PC" section:
    • DCIM
    • Pictures
    • Movies
  5. Use the computer to move the files into the preferred device folder.
  6. Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.
