VZAccess Manager software must be installed before inserting/connecting the device to the computer for the first time.
Open VZAccess Manager.
From the Windows desktop, click Start > All Programs (Programs) > VZAccess Manager.
With Windows 10, click Start > Apps icon (located in the top-left corner) > All apps (located in the bottom-left corner) > VZAccess Manager.
Click Tools > Preferences.
Select the WWAN tab to view the available options.
Ensure desired options are selected (checked) then click Set Options (in the upper-right corner).

App automatically connects when opened.
Do not allow connectivity when roaming
Prevents connection in a location where roaming charges may apply.
Show non-wireless accounts in list
All Internet connections are displayed in the list.
Do not prompt for user name and password
Username and password option is not displayed.
Lock/unlock the wireless device or change the lock code.
Show wireless device battery instead of PC battery
Wireless device battery indicator is displayed.
Software app that enhances simultaneous upload and download performance.
Disable external memory
Disables the memory card slot on the device.
Disable VZAccess Manager on device
Disables access to the VZAccess Manager installation file.
From the Connect tab, ensure desired options are selected (checked).
Internet Explorer Options:
Do not open my browser
Browser does not open upon connection.
Open my browser to my default home page
Browser opens to Internet Explorer's default home page.
Open my browser to this URL
Browser opens to a specified home page.
Turn off graphics
Only text is displayed when a website is loaded.
Run program on connection
Open an additional app upon connection.
From the VPN tab, ensure desired options are selected (checked) then click OK.
